Report a possible error
Email info@dealyield.app with the page URL and a concise description of the possible error. If the issue concerns a calculator, include the visible formula version and enough non-sensitive sample values to reproduce the result.
Do not send complete property addresses, account numbers, private contracts, tax records, government identifiers, credentials, or confidential financial documents. DealYield does not need them to review a public calculation or content issue.
Triage
Reports are classified by impact rather than by the number of messages received:
- Formula or safety-critical: a possible defect can change a result, unit, warning, report, or interpretation in a materially misleading way.
- Material content: a factual statement, source, example, exclusion, canonical route, or cross-link may be wrong or materially stale.
- Editorial: a typo, unclear sentence, formatting problem, or minor link issue does not change the calculation or substantive meaning.
These classes determine review priority; they are not promised response times. A credible high-impact issue may be contained by clarifying or temporarily withdrawing the affected statement while the evidence is checked.
Verification
DealYield reviews a report against the current page, the typed content and methodology records, formula source, schemas, fixtures, tests, and cited evidence. The review distinguishes:
- A defect in the deterministic formula
- A presentation, unit, rounding, or warning defect
- A mismatch between guide copy and released behavior
- A stale or unsupported external claim
- A request for a different modeling convention rather than an error
The reporter’s conclusion is not assumed to be correct, but the underlying evidence is investigated. Property-specific outcomes, lender decisions, tax treatment, and investment performance cannot be verified from a generic calculator.
Correction and formula-version consequences
Editorial and factual corrections are made on the canonical page and checked across related pages, metadata, structured data, methodology records, and internal links.
Released formula behavior is not changed in place merely to make an example or article appear correct. If a confirmed defect requires different calculation results:
- The change receives a new formula version.
- Inputs, outputs, units, rounding, edge behavior, warnings, and a worked example are reviewed.
- Unit, regression, browser, report, and share-link compatibility tests are updated.
- Historical behavior and shared scenarios remain protected until an explicit compatibility or migration contract is approved.
- The affected methodology and guide records are updated with the new version and review date.
A documentation correction that does not alter calculation behavior keeps the current formula version.
Publication record
The corrected page receives a new review date when its substantive methodology or explanation changes. When useful to prevent continued reliance on a material error, DealYield adds a concise note explaining what changed and which formula version is affected.
Minor spelling, grammar, or formatting fixes may be published without a change note when meaning is unchanged. Git history remains the implementation record for all published changes.
Follow-up
After a correction, related calculator, guide, report, share, metadata, sitemap, and policy routes are checked in proportion to the issue. The same class of issue is searched across the rest of the calculator network so a shared defect is not fixed on only one page.
